Laundry

It’s the little things in life that bring me joy. Like doing my own laundry, I mean really doing my own laundry. I’ve been separating; darks, whites, colors, delicates, washing and drying since I was in 6th grade. To wash your clothes in a sink, now that’s different.  I’m no Whirlpool or Maytag or whatever other brands there are but I am completely confident that my clothes are “so fresh and so clean.”  I am pretty sure the hotel can handle my unmentionables at 10 RMBs, shirts 30 and pants 20, but I’m kind of particular about the drying of my clothes, okay so particular that I will only give the hotel my socks.  Those are special socks and they should be dried, everything else gets the Jessica sink treatment and of course will be hung with care to dry. For anyone that really knows me, knows of my little quirks and my laundry is one of them. I hang everything to dry, well everything except socks. I realize that not many care about my laundry but I’m proud that after all of my traveling this year I have discovered a system leaving me feeling as fresh as I can in my 3 pairs of pants, 3 shirts and one work out outfit that I have brought with me for a 6 week stay in China.

Okay so these aren’t my clothes, but I wasn’t going to display my unmentionables for everyone to see. Instead I’ll share someone elses…

In a lot of ways China reminds me of India, but that’s for another blog…

Happy washing….
